How Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) can help

It is an experiential model of therapy, which means you work on changing your behaviors and thoughts as they are happening. Sessions focus on how you relate to your self, your equine partner and your therapy team. In sessions you learn and practice new ways of thinking, relating, being and problem solving.

This journey begins with learning how to develop a healthy, connected relationship with yourself then with a horse you choose. The same skills and principles that you learn in your relationship with your equine partner will apply to all your human relationships. In TF-EAP TM you will develop new skills and new ways of thinking and being.
