Partnering with parents to help children heal
Writing children's books is an honor and a privilege that I hold close to my heart but it is one that my wallet cannot afford alone. Illustrating one picture book costs thousands of dollars. If your heart feels pulled to help I am grateful beyond words. Your kindness will always be remembered. Thank you!
If you are looking for therapy services for your child or family you will find that information on the "Therapy Services" tab. If you are looking for information regarding therapeutic picture books or other types of children's fiction you can find that information under the "Books" and "Book Reviews" tabs.
If you found this website you are either looking for resources to help a child or are looking for therapy for a childyou care about. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and I specialize in providing psychotherapy for young children (children 6 years of age and younger) and their caregivers who have experienced traumatic events and in providing treatment to school aged children who have also experienced traumatic events.
Helping young children is one of my passions. I enjoy learning about their world views and helping them feel safer and more connected to their caregivers. I have been helping children and their caregivers for twenty-two years. My office is conveniently located east of I-35 on W University, also known as Hwy 29. It is a quick drive from Round Rock, North Austin, Taylor, Liberty Hill and Leander.
Please take a few moments to look around my website. Within these pages you will find a lot of information about me and my approach to helping children and families. The button below titled "Notes to Each Other" will take you to a page where you can read about how children and parents felt about their treatment with me.
I love helping children of all ages but I have a special passion for the wee ones. If you have a young child in need, I hope you will call to talk to me about how I might be able to help. Together we can help your child heal.
In addition to being a therapist I am an author. I write therapeutic picture books most of which are designed to help therapists in their treatment of children. A few are written for parents and children to share together in the comfort of their own homes. I also write children's fiction. I enjoy writing stories that help children heal, grow and learn about themselves and the world around them.
